Tariffs Update Part 2

Carriers are charging hefty tariff handling fees. Two examples of the fee breakdown are in the table below. Scroll down for a specific example of how this impacts sample pricing.

How does this affect sample pricing? In some cases, such as label sticker rolls with a large number of loops, you may not see a noticeable difference in pricing (about $0.10). On the other hand, hit particularly hard by this are 5-meter tape rolls with a 100 cm loop.  Pion's new "Pottery" kiss-cut PET tape (Oct./Nov. 2025 release), for example, now costs the non-wholesale importer about $20.00 ($4.00 per loop) instead of $12.00 ($2.00 per loop), so unfortunately the price is about $2 higher! That's why I didn't buy her other new releases. Misshoegg's new tape, the same month, fared a bit better since it's a 10-meter roll.

Meanwhile, indie artists and larger brands are moving toward 5-meter rolls as a new norm, especially for kiss-cut tapes.
